Which boat fits your yacht wedding in Cartagena?

It depends on your guest list. First, for an intimate ceremony, a 45-foot powercat or a 51-foot Leopard takes up to 35 or 40 guests. Then, for a full party on the water, the 65-foot party catamaran fits up to 56. Finally, the 87-foot catamaran takes up to 180 guests and has 4 cabins and 6 bathrooms.

What can you add on board?

Most couples also add a mixologist and a private chef. We include the service, and we quote drinks and menu by number of guests. In addition, you can add decor, music and a photographer. So see our boat packages for the full list.

Is a yacht wedding in Cartagena legally binding?

Not by itself, because a ceremony on a boat is symbolic. Also, a civil marriage at a Cartagena notary needs one partner domiciled in Cartagena for the previous 6 months. So most foreign couples sign the legal marriage at home or at their consulate, and then celebrate here. Read our guide to the legal steps to marry in Colombia.

When is the best time for a yacht wedding?

December to April is the dry season, with the calmest weather and the busiest calendar. Also, a sunset ceremony keeps guests out of the midday heat and gives the best light for photos. Every captain we work with holds a license from DIMAR, Colombia’s maritime authority.
